Keith Green - Lies

Lies

When I was young I used to believe everything that I heard, just what I heard.

But now the only thing that I can believe is God`s word, His Holy Word.

But even now my doubts will open up for me a world that I just despise.

And then the shades come down, the light turn off,

and I`m left alone with my helpless cries.

When I hear all his lies. All of the devil`s wicked lies.

If you believe and your faith just dies.

Don`t you be a fool, don`t you even open up,

or expose yourself to just one of his wicked lies.

I want to go around the world and prove Jesus lives, You know He lives.

And we`re not only friends, we`re family, we`re relatives, relatives.

But when I`m far from home and so alone, and my imagined fears get so
oversized.

That`s when I listen to the one no one should listen to, and get fooled by his
disguise.

Feeling weak from his lies, all of his bad wicked lies,

If you believe and your faith just dies.

Don`t you get fooled, don`t you even open up,

or expose yourself to just one of his wicked lies.

If you`re well read, you probably know how the story goes.

That wolf can look so good especially dressed in the right clothes, the wooly
clothes.

And as he starts to knit the counterfeit he`ll totally make you feel like
you`re paralyzed.

He`ll keep you spun around and looking down,

Just when you should be looking straight to the skies.

Pleading help from his lies, all of the devil`s wicked lies.

If you believe and your faith just dies.

Don`t you be a fool, don`t you even open up, or expose yourself,

To one of his wicked lies, to one of his wicked lies.

OUR GOD is with us, Emanuel

Romans 8:31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?

"Pain is the root of knowledge and happiness."

Simone Weil

"Pain is the root of knowledge and happiness."

“A science which does not bring us nearer to God is worthless.”

"
“Two prisoners whose cells adjoin communicate with each other by knocking on the wall. The wall is the thing which separates them but is also their means of communication. It is the same with us and God. Every separation is a link.”

“The intelligent man who is proud of his intelligence is like the condemned man who is proud of his large cell”

“The poet produces the beautiful by fixing his attention on something real”

Charity. To love human beings in so far as they are nothing. That is to love them as God does.”

“The highest ecstasy is the attention at its fullest.”

“Difficult as it is really to listen to someone in affliction, it is just as difficult for him to know that compassion is listening to him.”

“The love of our neighbor in all its fullness simply means being able to say to him, "What are you going through?"”

“In Switzerland they had brotherly love, five hundred years of democracy and peace, and what did they produce? The cuckoo clock!”

“To be a hero or a heroine, one must give an order to oneself.”

the pain ...

A friend is someone who, upon seeing another friend in immense pain, would rather be the one experiencing the pain than to have to watch their friend suffer.

Don't hold to anger, hurt or pain. They steal your energy and keep you from love.

There is one pain I often feel, which you will never know. It is caused by the absence of you.

To love is to risk not being loved in return. To hope is to risk pain. To try is to risk failure, but risk must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.

Let us talk sense to the American people. Let us tell them the truth, that there are no gains without pains.

Pleasure of love lasts but a moment, pain of love lasts a lifetime.

One word frees us of all the weight and pain of life: that word is love.

When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives means the most us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving much advise, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a gentle and tender hand

MOTHER THERESA Of Calcutta: "
It is easy to love the people far away. It is not always easy to love those close to us. It is easier to give a cup of rice to relieve hunger than to relieve the loneliness and pain of someone unloved in our own home. Bring love into your home for this is where our love for each other must start.

Wisdom is nothing more than healed pain.

ALBERT EINSTEIN
If men as individuals surrender to the call of their elementary instincts, avoiding pain and seeking satisfaction only for their own selves, the result for them all taken together must be a state of insecurity, of fear, and of promiscuous misery.

BENJAMIN FRANKLIN
No gains without pains.

G.K. CHESTERTON
People in high life are hardened to the wants and distresses of mankind as surgeons are to their bodily pains.

“The greater your capacity to love, the greater your capacity to feel the pain.” Jenifer Aniston

MAX LUCADO "the deepest love is built not on passion and romance but on common mission and sacrifice"

“Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional.”

ROMANI 5:3-5

Pain- the GIFT Nobody Wants

Evangelical preacher Billy Graham called the film "a lifetime of sermons in one movie".

Cine a cunoscut braţul Domnului?
